Meet the team

Dr Theo Empeslidis

Theo is a award winning Consultant Ophthalmologist with over 20 years experience treating patients. He has an extremely strong research background having worked for Boehringer Ingelheim in clinical development and clinical trials and also in small biotechs helping to develop new treatments and drugs for patients. He has always been fascinated from the wellbeing, disease prevention rather than treatment; and the secrets of longevity. Most recently Theo's research in longevity and wellbeing resulted in teaming up with the Longevia Healthcare group in order to produce a spectacular retreat for those who striving for wellbeing and quality of life. Theo is awaiting to meet you personally at the retreat and share the unique experience. 

Dr Susan Sarangapani

Miss Susan Sarangapani is a specialist Consultant Ophthalmic Plastic Reconstructive Surgeon. With a background in healthcare, she has helped create a holistic health programme with Longevia Healthcare Retreats to address the wellness of both mind and body. Stress is a part of our daily lives and can lead to negative effects on our mental and physical wellbeing. Finding a way to deal with stress by joining a Longevia Healthcare Retreat can help maintain good health and happiness. The cornerstone of Longevia Healthcare Retreats philosophy:

Nena Giannakidou
Yoga instructor

Nena started her career in yoga in 2006 as a practitioner doing mainly Ashtanga yoga. Throughout the years she tried different forms of yoga, but got later on more attached to the more soothing and therapeutic forms. Having already obtained Yoga an Alliance certificate in multistyle yoga, in 2022, she specialised in medical yoga; yoga with a main focus to lower the cortisol levels and hence the stress level. A form mainly targeted to people with stress, anxiety and hormonal issues. She has experience teaching both individuals one-on-one and groups.
